About Upstate Kenpo Karate

Upstate Kenpo Karate was founded by Daryl Perkins, 5th Degree, to continue the teachings of Senior Grandmaster Edmund Parker, the founder of American Kenpo Karate.
We serve the Capital District region, and in approximate order of distance from the dojo, the communities of Glenville, Scotia, Schenectady, Rotterdam Junction, Alplaus, Burnt Hills, Ballston Lake, Pattersonville, Rexford, Duanesburg, Hagaman, and Amsterdam.

What We Offer

Training in the art of kenpo to people of all ages, starting at about 6 years of age.

Separate classes for children, beginners, and advanced students. Our oldest student is 71. All classes are coeducational.

Affordability, for both individual and school membership.

Affordable Association Crests, and patches.

Discounts at AKTS seminars for members.

Upstate Kenpo Karate seeks to offer its members opportunities to increase their knowledge of and effectiveness in Kenpo. We place a great value on the satisfaction of our individual members.
